           PENINSULA MASTERS 55+ The midweek Veterans competition

 

Venue .. Frankston Tennis Club

Day ......Wednesday

Time .... 9.00 am

Format . 3/6 game sets of doubles

Cost ..... $5 per week

Since it’s inception in 2003 with a modest 12 players, the numbers have grown to 30 odd (ranging in age from mid 50’s to late 80’s)

Players are graded 1-4 and emergencies can play for any team

All players play every week. Members of the bye teams combine with players who wish to play as emergency or social, and play social tennis for that day

This format of play allows players to take "time out" at any stage during the season without causing undue hardship to the rest of their team. As players are graded, members of the Bye team or members of the emergency/social section can fill in for the day or even weeks
